The JOIE DE VIVRE For many years I have admired the early 1900’s pleasure yachts. My pleasure boat, Joie de Vivre was first conceived, than abandoned, when I was aboard Stan Laurel’s boat, Ida May, in 1953. in 2010 I got a hankering to build a trailerable cruising boat having some of the look of the Ida May and other classics.
